ELTON NGWATALA struck a screamer as Harriers earned themselves a point against Spennymoor Town on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman hit an outrageous goal from some 30 yards at Harrogate to open the scoring for his team, before a penalty from Glen Taylor levelled things up for the Moors with less than 20 to play.
It was another end-to-end encounter against another play-off contender - and a fairly bright first half was followed by an electric second that saw chances at either end.
Early on, an Ironside header and an Ngwatala shot represented Harriers' chances, while the hosts went close through Johnson's header over the bar.
Either side of the half-hour, Anderson saw a shot parried by Hall before McQuilkin struck over the bar, before Sam Austin's charging run saw his shot go close at the near post. In the closing seconds of the half, Hall's superb save thwarted Anderson's volley in style.
Chances really began to open up around the hour mark. After Ironside struck wide at a corner and Johnson smashed the post at the other end, the scores were opened in explosive fashion as Ngwatala drilled in from 30 yards with zero back-lift, cannoning in off the bar.
Hall held from Taylor as Spennymoor looked to respond, before Sonupé had a brace of chances, including a shot after he rounded Lawson, only for the kepeer to lunge back and parry his attempt.
Ironside again went close as he dragged a shot wide before, on 74 minutes, the home side were level from the penalty spot after Croasdale was penalised for a foul - Taylor netting the penalty off the woodwork.
While Ironside had a couple of half chances to sniff out a winner in the final minutes, the score of an even game would end up exactly that, the spoils shared on what could be a game replayed in the play-offs in a couple of weeks...

KENNEDY DIGIE wants Harriers to bring home more clean sheets as they prepare for the play-offs with another huge game against Spennymoor Town on Tuesday night.
The reds confirmed their place in the end-of-season shake-up with a 2-0 win over Tamworth this weekend just gone.
But there remains a lot still to do – the exact make-up of the six teams to be competing in the play-offs remains to be seen, as does the order in which they’ll play.
With Spennymoor still needing points to make certain of their own season extension and Harriers still keen to cement home advantage in their match, Tuesday’s clash at Harrogate’s CNG Stadium carries plenty of importance.
And Digie, who came into the team following injuries and suspensions to the squad on Saturday,
knows that clean sheets will provide plenty of momentum.
“A few of the boys are injured so I came in and I’m buzzing to play,” reflected the young defender, who has also enjoyed a hugely successful loan spell at Nuneaton this season.
“There is a lot of quality in the team, so I am glad I was able to come in and do a job for the team, that’s important.
“Going into the play-offs we need all the clean sheets as we can… Spennymoor is going to be a tough one, but we’re preparing and we’ll be ready.”
Harriers won well despite not necessarily being at their best against Tamworth.
That’s how Digie saw it, too, with the Academy graduate adding: “It was a great result from the boys – we ground the result out and saw the game out.
“It wasn’t pretty at times during the first half, but in the second half we grew into the game and our quality won out.
“I’m buzzing for both of the boys to get their goals, but it was just important for us to get the result – it’s four wins on the bounce and it’s a good run, but we need to keep it up.”
Harriers were without influential trio Joel Taylor (illness), James Pearson (knee) and Dan Bradley (hamstring) on Saturday, and will run the rule over them once again to assess their availability for Tuesday night.
Lee Vaughan will be back available after suspension; the defender having served his three-match ban following a dismissal over Easter.
Kick-off at Harrogate’s CNG Stadium on Tuesday night is 7:45pm.
