DEBUTANT Kirstie Bavington made a fine first impression at the start of her career with a hat-trick in the team’s 7-0 thumping of Solihull Sporting.
The former Wolves, AFC Wimbledon and Crystal Palace player joined Harriers recently and made her first start in the league game that saw the Reds keep up their positive start to the new campaign.
She’d struck her hat-trick inside the first half to put the team in a commanding 3-0 lead at the interval, two well-taken penalties added to by a strike from 18 yards.
After the break, Amber Lawrence’s decisive finish capped off a good move by Sophie Richards, before the latter went from provider to scorer with the fifth, another distance effort. Lawrence, so frequently among the goals this season, made it six before Molly Maguire wrapped up the day with the seventh, a cool finish after beating a number of Solihull players.
Next up for Harriers is a key league meeting against in-form Solihull United this coming Sunday (2nd). The game is played at COSE (DY11 7DY) where admission is free. Head down and support the girls!
