Reds agree LUKE 1977 partnership

Harries and LUKE 1977 to join forces ahead of the 2019/20 season…

Harriers and LUKE 1977 are to team up from next season

Following the huge success of the Aston Villa FC partnership, LUKE 1977 is proud to announce a new technical kit collaboration with Kidderminster Harriers.

The new arrangement will see new Harriers kits launched this summer and worn for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

This will be the brand’s first solo kit deal and will see the on-field kit and training wear designed and produced by the premium menswear label.

LUKE 1977 has grown into an established global brand with a loyal following, but with its roots still firmly in the West Midlands, it has always championed local businesses; making the partnership both a natural fit and a completely organic process.

The brand’s Creative Director and co-founder, Luke Roper, lives locally to the team and his eldest son also plays in the club’s academy.

“Despite having a global presence, we are always keen to and enjoy working on a local level. I have a great relationship with the club and the local community adding to that my eldest son plays for the academy team so there was a real keenness for us to work together from all sides,” says Roper.

The relationship will benefit Kidderminster Harriers from top to bottom with all players, from Under 9’s to the first team men and women wearing the new range, along with the fans on the terraces.

Commenting on the announcement, Kidderminster Harriers Chief Operating Officer, Adam Crowle said, “We know Luke well and as soon as we knew there was a way we could work together we were keen as a club to pursue it.

“Luke and his team know about what Kidderminster Harriers is and wants to become in the local community, and we’re all excited about how that will manifest itself in the new range of kits and training wear.”
