CHAIRMAN Colin Gordon believes new manager John Pemberton will galvanise Harriers following his appointment at the club this week.
Pemberton was named Harriers boss on Wednesday after leaving Chesterfield.
Having previously coached and managed at the likes of Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, the 54-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the hot-seat at Aggborough.
Even more crucial and valuable, according to the Chairman, is his no-nonsense approach to the game and management.
Speaking about the appointment, Colin told the club’s Soundcloud channel: “He’s a typically-tough Lancastrian – as [Director] Dave Seddon says, he calls a spade a shovel!
“He’s no messing, no nonsense and is very hard working – he’s had a fantastic effect on pretty much every football club he’s touched.
“Hopefully he’ll have the same effect with us.
“I’ve known him for a long time… he’s gone on to have a long career at first-team level with Nottingham Forest and Bristol City.
“He was the cornerstone of Bristol City’s league-winning seasons, and he’s a very highly-regarded coach.”
Colin went on to add: “Our discipline slacked last year – there’s no question about it. There were too many grey areas.
“If footballers are confused, they don’t give their best and I can guarantee, 100%, that there will be no confusion next year.
“Everybody will be on the same page; every member of staff and every player…”
