HARRIERS suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Gloucester City despite taking an early lead at Aggborough.
Harriers bossed the early stages and were ahead thanks to two goals in a matter of minutes; Ashley Chambers thumping home a Correy Davidson cross, shortly before Declan Weeks struck a distance effort that left Zack Jeacock between the sticks with no chance.
An end-to-end half sprang in Gloucester’s direction, though, as they followed suit with a double salvo of their own – dragging one effort wide and hitting the bar with another, before Parker pulled one back and Jackson side-footed them level.
All of that came before the 35th minute; with the following half-hour decidedly quieter, Weeks and Williams both firing off target just before and just after the hour respectively.
On 66, Gloucester were ahead from the penalty spot when Hanks did the honours from 12 yards after Moyo had adjudged to have fouled his man in the area.
Peniket then nodded inches wide, before the Reds were thwarted with a penalty of their own with eight left to pay; a Chambers effort from 12 yards well saved by Jeacock.
