HARRIERS sealed back-to-back away wins with a hard-fought, deserved 1-0 win at a Curzon Ashton.

Ashley Chambers struck a fourth goal of the season to ultimately decide the tie, but it was no more than the Reds deserved, for what was arguably their best performance of the term so far.

Ed Williams, Richard Peniket and Correy Davidson had all been denied by an in-form goalkeeper, Cam Mason, in a busy first half.

Harriers continued to dominate and deservedly went ahead just before the hour. Chambers was played through, inside the area, before finishing calmly past Mason to the delight of the travelling fans.

Curzon did have one, key, clear-cut chance in the afternoon but, with just nine minutes left to go, Cameron Gregory was alert to block out Sean Miller's shot.

HARRIERS make the trip to Greater Manchester on Saturday as they travel to face Curzon Ashton.

The Nash have started the season brightly with two wins and two draws from their opening four matches, and currently sitting two points behind leaders York.

Harriers will be looking to respond to a disappointing defeat on Tuesday, losing 3-2 against Gloucester City.

Kick off is at 3pm.

Correy Davidson ahead of the game:

"We play football and they play football and we know it's going to be tough, but we're more than ready for the game.

"It's our fifth game and I can't believe it myself, it feels like we were only doing pre-season last week!

"It's a busy start but the season is long, and we need to be patient as we will win games.

"There are positives to take from the start of the season, we've made mistakes but we are a good side".

Boss John Pemberton on the trip to Curzon:

"They're a good side, I've watched them twice.

"It will probably be a bit more of a football match as they are a bit more of a passing side, and they've had a good start.

"We're sat on four points but we should be sat on more - that's the disappointing thing - but we're not a million miles away".

Team news

Tom Palmer will be rested further following a head injury, and Jimmy O'Connor is likely to remain out with a niggling knee injury.
