Reds through in Senior Cup

3-2 win sees Harriers through…

An enterprising team of Harriers trialists took the side to the final of the Worcestershire Senior Cup with a 3-2 win at Redditch United.

The visitors controlled the vast majority of the night and took an early lead as a low finish saw the first of three goals from players on trial.

United did level but two more well-taken goals before the interval saw Harriers establish a 3-1 lead going into the break that they carried through.

Redditch grabbed the only goal of the second half with a header off the underside of the bar, but Harriers held on.

The team will now face either Worcester City or Evesham United in the final on a date to be determined.
