ZAK Brown’s goal earned Harriers another 1-0 pre-season win on the road at Droitwich Spa.

The Reds again fielded two separate elevens for what was once more a useful summer workout.

In the first half, Ashley Hemmings had two useful sights of goal, while Christian Dibble made his only real save of the afternoon shortly after with a tip over the bar.

Maliq Cadogan showed good control and shot just before the half hour and, just after, Kobe Hall turned sharply and saw a rising shot thump off the underside of the bar.

It was a dominant Harriers performance, but particularly in the second half. Seb Thompson forced a good save, while Caleb Richards set up Jack Lambert who was also denied on 64 minutes.

Thompson was at the point of danger as the half wore on. His own shot was met by a low save, before he supplied Caleb Richards whose attempt, one-on-one, was kept out by another strong stop.

The deadlock was finally broken with 77 on the clock. Oxlade-Chamberlain drove the ball across the area and, after Morgan-Smith was smothered out, the ball fell to Brown who smashed home the loose ball.
