HARRIERS finally began pre-season training today, with boss Russ Penn welcoming a new look management team and squad of players.
This afternoon we can give you the full run-down of all the individuals charged with keeping the team ticking over throughout the 2020/21 campaign.
Here’s a look at the Harriers management!
Russ Penn – Manager
The boss, the gaffer, the Manager; former Harriers midfielder Russ Penn needs little introduction to the Aggborough faithful. Our leader, Russ took the job as permanent manager back in the summer.
Jimmy O’Connor – Assistant Manager
Jimmy has been by the gaffer’s side for some time now, stepping up not only in previous seasons to assist with coaching the side, but as number two to Penn at the tail end of last season. The vastly-experienced former Walsall and Doncaster player also took up his role in the close season.
Dan Ludlow – Strength & Conditioning Coach
Dan has worked locally in the fitness and sports science industry for the last several years, and knows the club very well. The 32-year-old was part of the youth set-up at Aggborough and was also a registered first team player here before going on to have his own career in non-league.
Lee Evans – Goalkeeping Coach
An experienced goalkeeper and coach, UEFA B licensed coach Lee Evans joins Harriers after five years as Goalkeeping Coach at Tamworth. Previously playing for the likes of Stafford Rangers, AFC Telford United and Chasetown, the now 37 year old joins Harriers for the 2020/21 season.
Cameron Smith – Physiotherapist
Joining Harriers for the 2020/21 season is former Port Vale First Team Assistant Physio and Academy Sports Therapist Cameron Smith. Cameron is a University of Salford Graduate in Sports Rehabilitation.
Reiss Aston – Performance Analyst
A Sports Coaching and Development degree graduate at Edge Hill University, Reiss Aston is already familiar with Harriers having held the U23s Performance Analyst position during the 2019/20 season, but will now work with Harriers’ First Team during 2020/21.
