BOSS Russ Penn wants his players to embrace “home comforts” as they head into the first of three consecutive games at Aggborough against Alfreton on Tuesday night.
Harriers welcome Billy Heath’s men to Worcestershire before Curzon Ashton (Sat, 28th) and Kettering Town (Tue, 1st) come to town.
After picking up four points from six after two difficult away games at Brackley Town and Farsley Celtic, the Reds will know they have to maintain those levels if they’re to extend their current unbeaten run.
It’ll mean getting points at Aggborough which have been a little harder to find for Harriers thus far, with a win, draw and defeat representing a little more inconsistency than compared to form on the road.
The gaffer is keen for his players to make the most of the next three games, and to enjoy what comes with performing on home soil.
“The facilities and surface are fantastic and we’ve got to make those our home comforts,” he said.
“We’ve really slogged it out in the last month, getting some good points and returns in the away fixtures.

“We’ve got to back that up now and home, and I’m sure we will – we have four points from nine already and we’ve just got to keep ticking over.”
Harriers will be without the suspended Jim Kellermann for the last of his three-match suspension, but otherwise have a full compliment to choose from.
The meeting with Alfreton brings Penn head to head with Billy Heath, a man the Aggborough gaffer holds in high regard.
“I have massive respect for Billy, he’s won [promotion from] the division twice with Halifax and Ferriby,” he added.
“He knows the level, he knows the game and the players at it, and he knows what it takes to do well at this level.
“They’ve come off the back of a couple of poor results and they are going to be wanting that little bit more on Tuesday, so we’ll have to be right at it.”
Kick-off at Aggborough on Tuesday night is 7:45pm.
