HARRIERS are finally due to get back to National League North action on Tuesday for the trip to Boston United.
Russ Penn’s men have been without a game since the 3-2 defeat to Gloucester a month ago.
Since then, a COVID outbreak at Aggborough and the two-week suspension of the National League itself has brought about a halt in proceedings.
Barring the outcome of the vote to determine the season in the interim, things will resume for the Reds with the trek to the Pilgrims.
Penn himself admits it has been “a long month” but says the prospect of Tuesday’s clash has helped brightened the mood over the last week.
He told our YouTube channel: “It has been a long month and I think we’ve experienced everything in this last month.
“After the Gloucester game it was the COVID situation, then the freezing weather, then the [League] suspension.

“Mentally [it was] mentally draining but over the last week we’ve been looking forward to Boston tomorrow night.”
United will undoubtedly be there or there abouts in the discussion for promotion contenders this season.
Penn added: “For me they’re second or third favourites for the league.
“They lost in the play-off final last year and have a good manager for the level; they have some very, very good, experienced players. I know a lot of them and I’ve played with a lot of them.
“It’s a tough place to go and we’ll have to be right at it tomorrow, like we had to be with Gloucester.
“You go to these teams who all want promotion and you’ve got to stand up to the battle.”
Kick-off at Boston United on Tuesday is at 7:45pm.
Harriers will travel with a fully fit squad and are only missing the suspended Amari Morgan-Smith.
