The board would like to thank all Harriers supporters who took part in the online survey, designed to help guide our decision as to how we approach the topic of season ticket monies. We acknowledge that the survey had its limitations and was never intended to be used as a tool to influence a single outcome. We understand that individual circumstances differ and where some supporters are in a position to be able to donate the value of their season ticket fully, others are not.
The board has been overwhelmed and humbled by the feedback from the survey, where over 60% of the vote was in favour of donating all or part of the value of their season ticket to the club. We are truly grateful that supporters are willing to support us in this way.
Commencing Monday, members of our team will begin contacting each season ticket holder to discuss the options that were offered in the survey to ensure that their wishes are actioned. Please bear with us if you have not been contacted towards the start of the week. We are fortunate to have over 450 season ticket holders, so contacting each fan individually may take us some time. For those fans who purchased season tickets for the car park, your wishes in respect of these monies will also be actioned at this time.
We will also begin to contact our commercial partners who may not have received fair value for their corporate sponsorships for last season. Again, this is not a quick process, but our team will be in touch.
The board intend to compensate fans who are willing and able to donate some value of their season ticket to the club. Like our response to the early termination of the previous season, we will be offering fans the options of a discounted 2021/22 season ticket, a discount in the club shop, a credit for the Harriers Arms and free tickets to our exciting line up of pre-season tickets.
As part of our call, we will also be offering supporters the opportunity to purchase their 2021/22 season ticket as a discounted rate.
We are also delighted to announce that the Harriers Arms has re-opened, for anyone in need of a cold beer in a friendly local atmosphere.
The past fourteen months have been difficult for us all. A period we hope none of us will have to endure again. The focus of our club is now fully on our approach to next season. We will be making a number of announcements over the coming weeks, where we would like share what information we have available with our supporters.
We will be releasing a Harriers Voice update. We acknowledge that we are over a month behind delivering this to our supporters. The board felt that the priority was to address the financial impact of season ticket monies before responding to other questions posed to the club. We will aim to respond to as many questions as we can as part of this release.
Aggborough will once again be home to the Wolverhampton Wanderers U23’s PL2 team, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the PL1 following a semi-final defeat by Crystal Palace. We will announce these fixtures as soon as they are released, so supporters can enjoy even more football at Aggborough.
We will be sharing updates on the club squad, advising on player releases and retentions. We will then keep you updated with squad signings as soon as they happen.
We will be releasing our full pre-season fixtures list, which features three cracking home fixtures. We cannot wait to see supporters back at Aggborough cheering on the team. A statement so often said during the pandemic, but one that rings true, is that football is nothing without the fans.
The board, our coaching team, our squad and our backroom team cannot wait to welcome you back to Aggborough. COYR.
