We’re pleased to confirm that Kai Lissimore has become our latest Academy graduate, with the teenager signing a professional contract with Harriers.

Kai enjoyed a fine first season with our Academy last year, winning our U23 Coaches’ Player of the Year award and spending time with the England Colleges National Team.

The 17-year-old has been part of a number of Academy players to spend the full pre-season with the first team this summer, with the midfielder now taking his place in the first team squad.

Russ Penn said: “All of the Academy lads have done fantastically well with the group in pre-season and we’ve been delighted with their attitude and performances.

“We’ve discussed this at length with Kai and his family and everyone is delighted for him to be taking this next step.

“He’s a bright lad and someone we see as having a big future with the club.”

Kai has signed a deal until 2023, subject to final FA confirmation, and will wear the number 18 shirt this season.
