Player Profiles: Harriers Women

Molly Maguire
Position: RB/CB

Molly is one of the longest serving players having first joined Harriers for the 2017/18 season from Areley Kings after an impressive display against Harriers at Aggborough. Maguire likes to get forward and scores her fair share of goals.


Anne Johnson
Position: CB/LB

Known as ‘Fries’, she is the longest serving Harriers Womens player and is now club captain after being team captain for many seasons. Fries joined during the 2016/17 season, the first season after reformation.

Fries joined after being tempted out of retirement following a successful career becoming the all time record appearance holder at Wolves, and playing at the highest level.

A great leader, this season Fries has also taken up walking football and has been selected to play for England Over 40s.


Shani Fieldhouse
Position: CB/CDM

Shani joined us during the 2021/22 pre-season from Darlaston having played against Harriers many times while she was at Gornal, as well as playing for Wolves.

A tough tackling centre back, Shani reads the game very well and is also a leader on the pitch who is a great asset to the side.


Charlotte Arrowsmith
Position: CB/RB/LB

Charlotte joined Harriers Women during the 2020/21 season after progressing from Harriers Academy. A combative defender who is not scared to go in where it hurts, Charlotte is a player with potential to have a great future in the game.

MIDFIELDERS

Channelle Mason
Position: Various

‘Nel’ joined Harriers near the end of the 2017/18 season after playing most of her career at West Bromwich Albion alongside a short time at Wolves. A well liked player at the club and team captain, she possesses a great ability to read the game and can play almost anywhere across the pitch.


Sophie Richards
Position: CM/RM/LM

Sophie is another very experienced and versatile midfield player who has also played for Wolves and West Bromwich Albion.

Possessing great technical ability, Sophie makes things look so simple when surrounded by players.

Sophie is also very popular on Twitter and YouTube with her own show called Ladies In Red.


Chloe Whyley
Position: CM

Chloe joined Harriers from Wyre Forest Phoenix in 2018 but suffered a serious knee in only her second game that meant she was side-lined for nearly two seasons.

A player with a great future, Chloe is a box to box player who is gaining confidence and will be a major player during the 2021/22 season.


Mia Badland
Position: CM/RM/LM

Mia joined us as a 16 year old after coming through the ranks at Worcester City.

A very confident player who is learning all the time, Mia has a great attitude and is a great team player who chips in with a fair few goals.


Tilly Pearson
Position: LM

Tilly joined the team last season having progressed from Harriers Academy, impressing in her step up to open age football. Not afraid to make a tackle, Tilly has a great turn of pace and can cross a great ball into the box.


Sarah Lojko
Position: LM/STR

Sarah joined for the 2021/22 season from Darlaston. Another player who had played against Harriers numerous times for Gornal, Sarah is a player who loves taking players on and scoring goals.

Dani Selmes
Position: STR

Dani joined Harriers Women for the 2019/20 season after a brief break from football having previously playing for Wolves and Coventry United. At present, Dani holds the record of goals scored for Wolves.

In her first season with Harriers, Dani had scored 62 goals up until the season was null and voided due to Covid.

A hard worker, Dani is another experienced voice on the park.


Hattie James
Position: STR

Hattie joined during the 2020/21 season on loan from West Bromwich Albion before making her move permanent for 2021/22. Previously, Hattie has also played for Wolves, and is a good technical player who also has a great eye for goal.
