RUSS Penn is expecting his toughest game of the season when Alfreton Town come to Aggborough on Saturday.

Harriers are eyeing up another huge points on their own turf this weekend but will need to get past the men from the Impact Arena who’ve won more than their share of games on the road this term.

While they’re currently on a tricky run of form, Billy Heath’s charges have tasted victory away from home on seven occasions in league and cup thus far.

They’ve suffered heavy defeats in two of their last three matches big did manage a useful point and clean sheet against play-off chasing Kettering in between.

Penn once again reiterated his respect for his opposite number, and himself looks to have a challenge in assessing the various knocks and niggles from within the Harriers camp.

“I’ll pick a team to win the game…” he told our YouTube channel. “We’ve trained well today and we’re nursing a few little niggles, but so is every football club at this time of the year.

“We’ll see who is available and ready to go because it will be one hell of a game on Saturday, a really tough game against a really experienced Manager for the level.

“They’re not to be disrespected one little bit as it will probably be our toughest game of the season.”

Harriers, while weighing up their options, will at least be able to count on striker Ethan Freemantle to be available in some fashion on Saturday.

Freemantle has been injured since the January defeat at Hereford but is now back in full training and could well be in the squad at Aggborough.

Another face also now more regularly back in the mix is Lewis Montrose, who has battled injuries of his own this term.

He played a key role in the wins at AFC Telford and at home to Hereford in midweek, with the gaffer saying it’s “fantastic” to have him back.

“Every time he has played, he’s never let anybody down,” he went on.

“In fact, his performances have [shown] why we brought him to the club, it’s just been that we’ve not been able to select him as many times as we’d want this season, that’s the only disappointing thing.

“The lads have done it without him before Christmas, but now he’s back in the fold and that’s fantastic for me.”

Harriers and Alfreton fans are reminded that there is no longer the facility to pay cash at the turnstiles at Aggborough.

You can still pay in person on the day of the game at the Ticket Office (including in cash), but this incurs a £2 increase on our standard match day prices, so your best bet is to purchase in advance of the day if you can – as this will also potentially save you some queueing!

You can do so online via our ticketing platform or, if you need assistance, by calling 01562 823 931 during opening hours.

Again, it is still possible to buy your tickets at the Ticket Office (up to 15 minutes after kick-off), but you can’t pay cash at the turnstile.

Kick-off at Aggborough on Saturday is at 3:00pm
