HARRIERS have added a new face to their squad with the acquisition of Joe Starbuck from Sheffield United on a month’s loan.
The 20-year-old goes directly into the squad and is available to Russ Penn for Saturday’s home match with Southport at Aggborough.
Starbuck is a product of the Grimsby Town youth system – he progressed through the ranks there, making a handful of first team appearances between 2019 and 2021.
From Grimsby he was snapped up by The Blades where he’s continued to impress as a forward-thinking full-back with their U23s. He also featured on the first team bench in their FA Cup Third Round tie with Wolves earlier this year.
Russ Penn said: “Joe’s been a player of interest over the last couple of months – Sheffield United do things really well and I like how they work the loan market.
“They understand where we are with Joe Foulkes and Penny out injured and they’ve offered to help us with Joe.
“He [likes to get forward] and that’s something that helps us in our team.”
