HARRIERS picked up another clean sheet on the road after a goalless draw at Leamington in National League North.
It was a game of very few chances and talking points – Harriers looked solid throughout a tie they never appeared in any danger of losing, but lacked a killer final ball to really trouble the Brakes at the other end.
Tom Palmer held one effort from Leamington’s Louis Hall with just under half an hour gone, but the small cluster of real chances came after the restart.
Early in the half, Zak Brown snatched a little at a ball in the area, angling one high over the bar, before Theo Streete was denied a far post goal by Tom Palmer’s strong save after a free-kick bounced dangerously in the area.
Palmer himself almost came close to netting a goal in bizarre circumstances. His long kick up field bounced not far from goal and was taken by the wind, goalkeeper Callum Hawkins showed a great reactions to get a double palm to it and lift the effort over the bar.
Harriers had a late effort ruled out for offside when Amari Morgan-Smith had headed the ball home from close range, Brown then having the final chance of the day with a low shot held by Hawkins.
Kobe Hall did make history as a late Harriers sub – he became the youngest player on record to make a competitive first team appearance for the club.
