Harriers XI exit WFA Senior Cup

A HARRIERS XI fell to a 2-1 defeat at Stourport Swifts in the Worcestershire Senior Cup. 

Tom Leak, Keziah Martin Ethan Freemantle, Zak Brown, Tom Owen-Evans and Alex Penny supplemented an Academy squad at Walshes Meadow.

After a goalless and fairly even first half, Stourport took the lead from the penalty spot on 49 minutes as Drew Canavan tucked away a kick from 12 yards following a foul in the area.

Harriers drew level just three minutes later as the lively Kobe Hall powered an angled drive past the goalkeeper into the far corner.

Stourport would re-establish their lead four after the hour, though, as Lee Chilton’s low free kick found the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Good luck to Swifts to now face Droitwich Spa for a place in this season’s final.
