GOALKEEPER Josh Bishop made his Hanley Town debut at the weekend and kept a clean sheet in their FA Trophy match.

‘Bish’ joined Hanley on a one-month loan last week and went straight into their side for a 2-0 Trophy victory against Cleethorpes.

Two first-half goals for the hots were enough to seal their place in the next round, where they’ve been drawn to face Sheffield.

Samson Hewett joined Lye Town last week but, unable to feature in the Trophy, is in line for a debut against Sutton Coldfield Town in the Northern Premier League Midland Division this weekend.

Elsewhere, striker Ethan Freemantle grabbed 24 minutes off the bench for Gloucester in their 1-0 defeat to Farsley.

Ethan has netted once in nine appearances for Tim Flowers’ National League North side so far.

Also in action over the last week has been Krystian Pearce. The defender missed our game against Rochdale as he’s been on International duty with Barbados.

It has been an eventful week, but without the results they’d want – Pearce started both an eventful 3-2 defeat to Montserrat and a 5-1 reverse at the hands of Nicaragua.

The results mean Barbados have it all to do to rescue their position in the Nations League, League B, Group B table.
