A look ahead to Saturday’s opening home fixture of the season…

PHIL Brown is warning his Harriers side to be on their guard when they welcome newly promoted Radcliffe to Aggborough on Saturday.
The Northern Premier League Champions are managed by experienced duo Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson, who are tried and tested in success at this level.
On the back of that promotion, they showed their mettle once more on the opening day by coming from 2-0 down at Scarborough Athletic, netting an equaliser in the second minute of added time to secure a 3-3 draw.
Harriers, of course, notched a win on the road last weekend with success at Darlington, leading nicely into Saturday’s first home clash of the new North campaign.
Brown knows there’s plenty to look forward to but is well aware of the threats the visitors will pose.
“On Saturday, the sun will be shining with great surroundings and a lovely surface,” he told our YouTube channel.
“Hopefully the home supporters will turn up and we’ve got a team that comes plays football as well, Radcliffe proved in their first game of the season that they’ve got potency, they’ve got goals, and they’ve certainly shown that in the pre-season games we’ve watched as well.
“So we’ve got to be on our guard, but we’ve got to be believing in the fact that we’ve got a decent scalp in Darlington who a lot of people are expecting at the right end of the table.”
Despite having an energised opposition on Saturday, Brown repeated his insistence that his side must still focus on themselves.
“I think the management team that’s coming in [with] Radcliffe know what they’re doing at this level, and we’ve got to be wary of that, guarded by it.
“But we’ve got to believe in what we’re doing and carry that out to the best of our ability.
“If we do that then I’ll be pleased.”
