HARRIERS fired four goals past Radcliffe to send themselves into the festive period in the best spirit possible.
A third 4-0 success of the season was achieved with minimum fuss in Greater Manchester as Phil Brown’s men maintained key momentum in National League North.
After a fairly quiet opening quarter-hour, it was Harriers who took the lead from inside the area; Ashley Hemnings sliding the ball in where Radcliffe’s Rick Smith and Amari Morgan-Smith slid in, the ball slotting past the keeper and into the net.
From that point, Harriers were always in control of the day, though arguably the best home chance of the whole afternoon arrived on 27 minutes when Roscoe thumped a header wide of Christian Dibble’s target.
Two before the break, Tope Obadeyi showed his power by driving a cross into the area that was touched on to the post, the Harriers man making absolutely no mistake in added time at the end of the first half by powering home a header for his third goal of the season off an Ashley Hemmings cross.
Before the hour, Radcliffe had an effort chalked off for a foul on Christian Dibble and, just after, Morgan-Smith was thwarted by an offside flag when he found the net from the inside of the area.
Maynard then flicked a Radcliffe header over the bar before, with 73 gone, Radcliffe had the woodwork to thank for keeping their heads above water; Richards supplying Hemmings who hit a deft finish on to the foot of the post, the ball bouncing back into the grateful grasp of the goalkeeper.
Harriers, and Hemmings, had their third goal just two minutes later, though. Sub Reece Devine headed Morgan-Smith clear, the forward driving ahead and lifting the ball perfectly for hiss partner to leap with a diving header, planting the ball into the net.
The comprehensive success was completed in the third of four minutes added time at the end of the day; Hemmings this time holding the ball before playing in Richards, in space. He goaded his man before firing with brilliant accuracy across goal and into the bottom corner of the net.
