HARRIERS made it three consecutive wins with a deserved 3-0 success over Scarborough at Aggborough.

Ashley Hemmings’ 20th goal of the season was among the highlights as the Reds saw off the Seadogs in DY10 to record a league double in National League North.

The home side were on the front foot from the off. After just seven minutes they went close, Reece Devine’s run and deep cross met at the far post by Amari Morgan-Smith who, on the stretched, fired a volley wide of the target.

David Worrall, inside nine minutes, struck into the grateful gloves of Ryan Whitley before the loanee intelligently played in Maz Kouhyar who ran into space, firing firmly but straight at Whitley who was forced into another save.

Kouhyar then turned provider for Hemmings to have a low shot saved before, past the half hour, Caleb Richards superbly teed up Brown whose low shot was just about kept out by a busy Whitley.

It looked as though Harriers might be forced to make do with 0-0 at the break when Dibble had to parry over a good effort at one end, only for the Reds to make the breakthrough just 20 seconds later, Brown slicing through with a ball Hemmings latched on to and superbly fired into the bottom far corner.

Hemmings tested Whitley again with a swerving effort just two minutes after the restart and, on 50 minutes, the lead was extended. Devine’s superb cross looked difficult for Morgan-Smith to head, the striker deftly bending his leg around one of two men inside the area to poke the ball into the net.

That seemed to act as the prod needed to spur Boro into more action and, past the hour, only brave goalkeeping from Chrisian Dibble stopped Alex Wiles reducing the arrears after a sharp passing move.

Alex Brown was then far more wayward in his shooting with an effort way over the bar, Harriers proving more clinical on 82 minutes as Kouhyar met a Worrall cross with the perfect finish beyond Whitley to make it 3-0 and end the game once and for all as a contest.
