DRIVING THE FUTURE OF WOMEN’S FOOTBALL IN WORCESTERSHIRE

We are proud to be at the forefront of accelerating the growth of the female game across Worcestershire. Our commitment is clear: to create a professional, structured, and inclusive pathway for young female footballers to thrive, both on and off the pitch.

Football is evolving rapidly, and the women’s game is experiencing unprecedented growth. However, we recognise that for this momentum to continue, there needs to be a robust system in place that allows aspiring female players to develop their talents in a fully supportive and professional environment. Our full-time model is designed specifically to bridge the crucial transition from U16s football to open-age football, ensuring young female players have the resources and guidance they need to succeed while continuing their education.

A HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT MODEL

Our approach goes beyond simply increasing playing opportunities. We are committed to providing an all-encompassing programme that enhances the learning experience, both on and off the pitch. Through our full-time model, young female footballers will benefit from:

• Enhanced Training & Learning Opportunities – More time on the training ground means greater technical, tactical, and physical development. Our structured sessions will help players refine their skills and adapt to the demands of senior football.
• Access to Medical & Recovery Facilities – Injury prevention and recovery are critical in any footballing journey. Our programme will provide access to medical expertise, physiotherapy, and recovery resources, ensuring that players can perform at their best with the right support.
• Performance Analysis – Understanding the game is just as important as playing it. We will integrate performance analysis into our training, helping players develop a deeper tactical awareness that will benefit them on the pitch.
• Further Education Support – We firmly believe in a dual-career pathway, where education and football go hand in hand. Players will have access to academic guidance, ensuring they can continue their studies while committing to their footballing ambitions.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES BEYOND PLAYING

While player development remains a key focus, we are equally passionate about fostering the next generation of female coaches and leaders within the sport. Our Volunteer to Coach Programme will provide aspiring female coaches with a structured pathway into coaching. Whether they are current players looking to explore coaching roles or individuals keen to get involved in the game, this initiative will offer:

• Hands-on coaching experience within our teams and academy.
• Support from experienced coaching professionals.
• Support towards coaching qualifications
• Opportunities to progress within the club’s coaching setup.

By creating these coaching pathways, we aim to inspire more women to take up coaching roles and contribute to the long-term growth of female football in Worcestershire.
