HARRIERS return to Aggborough on Saturday to host Chorley in National League North.
The Magpies, a perennial foe to the Reds over the course of the last decade, have always proved a challenging proposition.
This season so far has seen then drift a little further down the table than most would expect given their fantastic record over recent seasons.
That said, while they sit in 11th place, they do so having taken a win and two draws from their last three league matches which suggests the tide might be turning for Andy Preece’s outfit.
Among their triumphs this term are a thumping 4-0 win over King’s Lynn back in August, that coming weeks after a 3-0 win over Chester.
Last time out in midweek, they battled to a 0-0 draw over Spennymoor Town to back up a 1-0 home success over Bedford Town.
Harriers will be without existing injured players Pierce Bird, Dan Mooney, Alex Penny, Rhys Hall, David Davis and Jack Clarke heading into the game, while a number of additional issues from Tuesday’s defeat to Marine will be assessed prior to kick off.
Assistant boss Stuart Watkiss touched on the injury situation and more in the pre-match interview, which you can watch – along with a chat with Kam Kandola – by tapping play below:
Kick off at Aggborough on Saturday is at 3:00pm.

RESPECT & SUPPORT BALL RETRIEVERS
Ball retrievers, often young people, carry out a vital part of the Aggborough match day.
But did you know, it is NOT their job to ensure play continues quickly by passing the ball to players?
A ball retriever’s job is simple – their instructions are to retrieve balls that have left the field of play and to place them back on cones at pitch side. Players, not retrievers, collect the ball from the cone.
Our young ball retrievers are following official rules – please show them the respect and encouragement they deserve.
