TOBY Onanaye has returned to Leicester City following his time on loan with Harriers.
The Foxes youngster had joined the Reds just before the turn of the year on what had been planned as a three-month loan.
After making four appearances for Harriers and scoring once in what was his first senior loan, the midfielder has returned to Leicester with boss Adam Murray explaining the move, saying: “We have sent Toby back to Leicester after what we consider a really successful loan period and there are a number of factors involved.
“One is the return to fitness quicker than anticipated of Jack Clarke and Reece Hall. Although they will be the first to admit their performances at Macclesfield were not up to their normal standard, we also understand that they have been out for a very long time and will need minutes to get up to speed.
“There’s also the fact that we are up to our loan limit at the minute, with the rules being that you’re only five loan players allowed in a squad at one time.
“We do believe Toby has a big future and he’s one that we most certainly will be keeping our eyes on.”
Good luck for the future, Toby!
