Our Match Day sponsors for the game against Nuneaton Town have decided to promote a Charity – The Teenage Cancer Trust.
They explain:
As friends & family every Christmas we get together for two main events. First being our annual “Wannabees England v Rest of the World” charity football match and secondly being Harriers Match Day Sponsor.
However in January this year one of the young players and close relation (Marcus Davis age 24) was diagnosed with stage 4 Testicular Cancer and after 12 months of chemotherapy is still fighting this disease.
Only just finishing treatment before Christmas we hope he is well enough to attend today. Not only is this to recognise the valuable work The Teenage Cancer Trust do for young people in their hour of need. It’s also to recognise the battle Marcus has been through and for today celebrate his birthday as he turns 24 today.
