HARRIERS strongly supports The National League and Football Association in delivering their antisocial conduct message.
Please review the following information before visiting Aggborough, and remember that your entry into Aggborough Stadium is subject to the acceptance of the National League’s Ground regulations and adherence to the Smoke No Joke policy. Both documents are clearly visible and available on entry turnstiles but are also available for download below.
Specifically, we would like to remind supporters that the club will not tolerate supporter misconduct of any kind. This includes but is not limited to:
- Discriminatory behaviour. This means conduct or language that is aggravated by ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation or disability.
- Entering the field of play or its immediate surrounding area without permission
- The throwing of missiles towards the pitch, technical area or dugout
- The possession or use of pyrotechnics such as flares or smoke bombs
A common belief that KHFC cannot be held accountable for the actions of its ‘fans’ when the club plays away from home is not only completely false, but the opposite is true. Under FA Rules, clubs are responsible for the actions of their fans, wherever games are played. As such, actions of this minority of individuals have already resulted in the club facing numerous FA investigation into the use of flares and other pyrotechnics, encroachments on to the pitch and the throwing of objects. Most importantly these acts are dangerous to the safety and health of those around it but be in no doubt – it does cost the club. The FA has within its powers to fine clubs, deduct points from a club and limit the capacity of clubs who fall foul of its rules. Having games played in empty stadiums with fines incurred and points lost cannot be the aim of any football club, or anyone who supports it.
Chairman, Richard Lane, made the following comments: “I have been blown away by the support shown to this football club – our football club – in my time here. FA Cup runs, a promotion, a relegation, so many highs and lows. As a Chairman I have given so much but, equally, every player and supporter has given so much. What is important now is that this isn’t tainted or jeopardised, so I would ask that every single individual who purports to be a Kidderminster Harriers fan keeps in mind the importance of their actions and the good and bad those actions can do to the team, the club and the people around them. Support us loudly, passionately, but within the confines of the law – that’s only common sense. We have the best fans in football, I truly believe that, and we cannot, and will not allow anything to change that. At Kidderminster Harriers we are a family football club at the heart of the community, and we must remain a place where, regardless of age, gender, disability or faith, everyone feels they can enjoy spending time safely.”
Please support Kidderminster Harriers responsibility. Should you be concerned by any of the above conduct you may witness, please report it to your nearest steward, to the Club Office or Safety Officer or by e-mail to security@harriers.co.uk
