Harriers Women lock horns with new foes this term – we profile them

WE begin our look at the teams joining the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands for the 2026/27 season with Lye Town Women.
The Flyers will compete at Tier 4 for the first time after earning promotion from the West Midlands Regional Women’s League Premier Division.
An unbeaten campaign saw Lye claim the title, finishing seven points ahead of runners-up Shifnal Town to secure their place in the National League.
Harriers Women reunite with familiar rivals, having faced The Flyers on numerous occasions in recent years. The sides were involved in a closely fought title race during the 2024/25 season, with Harriers coming out on top by a two-point margin.
The two most recent meetings between the teams both came in the 2024/25 season, the first of which seeing Harriers come from behind to claim a 2-1 victory at Aggborough, before Lye edged the return fixture 1-0 on home soil.
