Reds rocked by late comeback…

SALFORD hit Harriers with a stunning comeback to net four goals in the final ten minutes in a 4-4 draw at Aggborough.
Harriers were 2-0 up at the break thanks to goals from Sonupé and Ironside, before Vaughan and Bradley struck to double the advantage.
But a nightmare spell at the end of the game saw Salford net four times without reply to the delight of their players and supporters.
It was actually the visitors who had the best early chance as Nottingham planted a header wide from a corner, before Bradley and Sonupé forced saves from City goalkeeper Erlandsson.
Walker and Allen went close for Salford before Sonupé opened the scoring by tucking away a Croasdale cross on 21 minutes as Croasdale supplied the pass – Ironside latching on to Vaughan’s ball on 33 as he coolly slotted the ball into the far corner for 2-0.
Harriers started the second half well and, in a two minute spell just nine after the restart, they’d put more daylight between the teams, first as Vaughan charged on to Weeks’ ball before slamming home, Bradley’s deft finish slotted past Erlandsson.
The reds did stay in the ascendency but, with little to lose, the hour mark saw Salford start to create more as Haughton twice went close, before Bradley was denied by the goalkeeper as he looked to add a fifth.
The comeback started on 80 minutes as Askew held off his man in the area before finish past Hall – seemingly no more than a consolation, only for Dieseruvwe and Walker to go close. That built momentum and enabled Haughton to make it 4-2, a distance drive bouncing under Hall and into the net.
From there, nerves appeared to set in and the league leaders sensed the grandstand finish was on. Dieseruvwe’s header from a corner was one of the last acts of the 90 minutes, and in injury time Harriers ought to have made it 5-3, only for Croasdale’s shot to deflect away from a corner.
A penalty awarded in the sixth minute of five added on was saved by Hall as it looked, for a split second, like Harriers had finally seen it out, only for the loose ball to be slammed home by the gleeful Walker.
