HARRIERS Ladies kept up their ruthless start to the season by slamming TEN goals without reply past Coventry City on Sunday.
It was the first game of the West Midlands Regional League season for the Reds, who had previously been occupied with across the last two weekends with the FA Cup clash against AFC Telford United.
The team set down a marker, though, as the Sky Blues arrived at COSE. Amber Lawrence, truly thriving in her new advanced role as a forward, bagged herself four goals of the total haul – including a first-half hat-trick as the home side boasted a 4-0 score line by the interval.
There was no letting off the gas; Harriers struck six more times after the interval, with the day’s other goals including a hat-trick for Alex Nicklin plus strikes for Molly Maguire, Amie Savva and Kirsty Roberts.
James Astle’s Ladies will take another break from League action this coming weekend as they meet St John’s in the next round of the FA Cup.
