Harriers Ladies reached the final of the League Cup in impressive style on Sunday, winning 9-0 against Kingfisher.
Harriers created numerous chances throughout the game
At COSE, Harriers flew out of the blocks and netted three times in the first 15 minutes – Alex Nicklin opening the scoring before Kirsty Roberts netted a rare headed goal – Kirstie Bavington grabbing Harriers’ quick-fire third.
Further goals in the first half came from Bavington and Roberts – both doubling their individual tallies to see their team head into half time with a 5-0 lead.
In the second half, Harriers continued from where they left off and created numerous chances but, against a spirited Kingfisher side, the visiting keeper pulled off a number of impressive saves.
However, Bavington would eventually complete her second hat trick of the season – Molly Maguire adding a seventh before Bavington then got her fourth.
Substitute Bobbie Baker rounded off the scoring to make the final score 9-0 – meaning the Ladies now face Sedgley and Gornal United in the final on 5th May.
