HARRIERS stunned Stockport County with a fine second half comeback that sealed a 2-1 win for the reds.
While the Hatters edged a blustery first half, Harriers looked set to take a 0-0 score line to the break until, in the dying stages, Matty Warburton slotted into an unguarded net.
But the visitors were improved after the break and turned the game on its head thanks to a Joe Ironside brace - one with just seven gone after the interval and the winner coming in the dying seconds.
It was a deserved win in the very end but the team worked hard for it, withstanding plenty of pressure inside the opening half-hour particularly as Duxbury and Ball went close.
County were in front come the 45th minute as the alert Warburton saw Hall coming off his line to meet a ball - intercepting it and sending it back beyond him.
But the reds responded in style and, after Croasdale had thumped a post with a driving effort, a deft and looping header from Ironside levelled matters.
While Harriers had the better of the second half, you'd have to say that both sides had opportunities to win it after that - Andre Brown grazing the bar and Sonupe seeing a shot saved, Stockport also going very close as McKenna blazed over the bar.
As we entered the 90th, the all-important winner came thanks to a perfect team move; composure personified as Croasdale, Weeks and Sonupe all combined to drill the ball across goal where Ironside slid in to find the net once more.

FRASER HORSFALL expects Harriers to show what they’re capable of when they travel to Stockport County’s Edgeley Park on Saturday.
The Hatters are easily one of the biggest club’s outside of the Football League with a stadium and fan-base to suit.
They are once again set to be in amongst the sides in the promotion shake-up this season, handily placed just outside the play-off places ahead of this weekend’s round of matches.
Towering central defender Horsfall is keen to reinforce that Harriers are also on an encouraging run of form of their own.
Though held to a draw against Spennymoor Town last time out, John Eustace’s charges have done well to ensure they’re not a million miles from the chasing pack, either.
Looking towards the encounter, he reflected: “It’s a big game on Saturday.
“We have been in good form so hopefully we can carry it on and have a good performance.
“Once you get a bit of run of not losing, you get more confidence.
“We have been training really hard and it has been paying off on a Saturday.
“The lads are getting fitter every week and that does show.”
Harriers will travel to Stockport without the services of experienced campaigner Jimmy O’Connor.
O’Connor will miss the match as he serves a one-game suspension following his red card at the climax of last weekend’s draw.
“We know they are a physical side and that there will be a good support behind them...." Fraser Horsfall
James Pearson (hamstring) will be assessed as he bids to return to the side after a recent injury.
On loan from Premier League side Huddersfield Town, Horsfall will make his eleventh start for Harriers at the weekend if selected.
He told our YouTube channel that he’s very settled here at Harriers as he gets to know his team mates.
He’s clearly relishing the challenge of competitive football and big attendances.
Again with an eye on Saturday he explained: “They’re a big club in the league and are looking to push for promotion, we know that.
“We know they are a physical side and that there will be a good support behind them.
“Even though we’re a young group, we’re experienced for this league and we have played in front of big crowds before.
“The lads will come together on Saturday and put in a good performance.”
