Harriers manager John Eustace praised the influence of returning captain Ryan Croasdale.
The midfielder played 90 minutes against Blyth Spartans on Saturday following a difficult few months.
The skipper had been an ever present at the start of the season, but has twice had to take personal leave to deal with family issues.
Speaking after his comeback, the manager praised Croasdale’s contribution in an eventful afternoon.
“He led by example, he was different class,” reflected Eustace.
“You know what you’re going to get from him.
“He is growing week in, week out.
“He was excellent last year.
“He’s had a few issues off the pitch this season, but he gets on with it and I’m pleased to have him.”
Croasdale and his team mates are in action again this weekend, as they make the long trip to face Newcastle Benfield in the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round.
