Youth round-up: 24-03

A memorable weekend in particular for two of our Youth teams…

Ben Knights and Jack Male were U14s scorers on Saturday

Harriers U16s won their JPL League this past weekend while our U14s made it through to the National Cup semi-final.

Here’s a review of the weekend just passed:

The weekend’s action saw the youth teams pick up some great success as our Under 14s progressed into the JPL National Cup Semi-Final where they will travel to Mansfield in the Semi-Final in a few weeks’ time. It will be a major achievement for the squad to reach the national final and is an achievement that coach Clint Hughes has been focused upon all season.

Along with the success for the Under 14s, our Under 16s won their JPL league after defeating Hereford 2-0 away in a close fought encounter, this was a huge comeback after WFA Semi Final defeat just seven days ago which hit the boys hard so major credit to the fighting spirit that has been injected into the group by coaches Scott Mason and Alex Surridge.

The Under 13s secured their biggest win margin of the season away at Birmingham and it was great to see some many players get on the score sheet after some great phases of play throughout the game of which coach Liam McGowan was certainly pleased about.
