Harriers Ladies kept on cruising in their SSE Women’s FA Cup as they won 4-1 at St John’s.
The Reds had already negotiated two rounds of the Cup in some style and showed no signs of slowing down with this performance.
In-form Amber Lawrence opened the scoring for the visitors with a rare headed effort after Alex Nicklin and Anne Johnson had got touches to a corner.
Kirsty Roberts, perennially in the goals for Harriers over the last few years, made it 2-0 after picking up a through ball and cutting inside to finish well, before Nicklin made it 3-0 before the interval.
The second period was a decidedly closer affair, but the win never looked in doubt at that stage, more so after Amie Savva made it 4-0 by turning home Nicklin’s cross.
The home side did net before the day was out to leave the score at 4-1, but Harriers made comfortable progress through the Third Qualifying Round.
