Harriers Ladies picked up three points against local rivals, Cookley Sports Ladies, on Sunday.
Newly promoted Cookley had started the season strongly – winning their opening two games – but were behind inside 20 minutes at Lea Castle, Katie Priest heading home an Alex Nicklin corner.
Cookley worked their way into the game – looking dangerous on the break away – and equalised on 38 minutes as Harriers failed to clear their lines.
The second half saw Harriers create numerous chances, and eventually found the net to re-take the lead – Danni Selmes netting from the penalty spot after an hour.
New 19/20 season signing Selmes netted her fifth of the season fifteen minutes later, calmly firing it past the keeper to secure a 3-1 victory.
Next up for the Ladies is a trip to face Coventry City Women on 13th October.
