DECLAN Weeks is closing in on a return to trainingre, according to boss Jimmy Shan.
The creative midfielder has been missing for the last two months or so after sustaining a bruised toe in the win at Guiseley.
The injury has proved a difficult one to manage, with the 24-year-old undergoing a number of scans recently.
Weeks has yet to return to full training with the rest of the squad, but boss Shan is hopeful that a comeback isn’t too far away.
Commenting on the status of his squad for the weekend trip to King’s Lynn Town, the gaffer said: “We’re really just missing Dec Weeks now.
“He has an ongoing issue with a toe from a contact he had way back against Guiseley in my second game in charge.
“He’s had a couple of scans and, hopefully, we’re working towards the end of making sure he’s back in and around the squad in the next couple of weeks.”
Harriers will be boosted for the journey to The Walks by the return of Rhys Williams.
The on-loan Liverpool defender has missed the last three matches through suspension, but is once again available to Shan this weekend.
