Harriers Ladies were defeated in the Final of the Worcestershire FA Women’s County Cup on Sunday.
Looking to defend the cup, the Ladies faced league rivals Kingfisher Ladies at Malvern Town’s HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
Danni Selmes struck first to break the deadlock, netting a penalty after 20 minutes following a hand-ball.
A penalty at the other end levelled the scoring, before Selmes struck into the bottom corner within 20 seconds of the restart.
Bailey-Raine Hodge then struck from 35 yards, arrowing the ball impressively into the top corner, to make it 3-1 at the interval.
Kingfisher fought their way back into the game and defended solidly to stop Harriers from extending their lead, pulling one back with 20 minutes to go, before equalising into the top corner from outside them area, sending the game to spot kicks, which Kingfisher won 4-2 to lift the trophy.
