Milan Butterfield has signed for National League side Chesterfield.
Milan, who was a graduate of our Academy system via the U23s, was a regular in the first team here Aggborough over the last two seasons, making a total of 49 appearances and scoring three times.
He now moves on to Chesterfield and leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
Boss Russ Penn: “Milan is a talented player and we’re proud of the role we’ve played in developing him as a player.
“It became clear quite early in the summer that Milan was destined to move on to a new challenge and we wish him well in that and his future career.”
Given Milan’s age, the club have been able to secure a nominal compensation fee from his new club.
On this, Harriers CEO Neil Male said: “We were never about to stand in Milan’s way and it’s pleasing for us as a club that another player is moving to play in a higher division.
“That said, we’ve played a pivotal role in his development and its only right that is recognised. This is a good piece of business and allows us to reinvest money into the first team at an important time.”
