OMARI Sterling has told this weekend’s issue of The Harrier that the Aggborough squad is one with point to prove.

The former Solihull Moors and Mansfield Town man joined the Reds in the summer after leaving the Stags.

In an interview with the match day programme for our game against Blyth Spartans, Sterling touches on the burning desire that brought him to Aggborough.

He says he’s not the only one with the bit between his teeth this season, saying of his team mates: “I knew a couple of them before I came here as I’d been with them at other clubs.

“They’ve played in the Football League and at high levels, so it’s about having a point to prove – and a point to prove to themselves as well.

“It’s about showing we can score goals, win games and that we come in to training every day to do better and to push each other.

Sterling discusses his style of play, a willingness to “go against the grain” in his search for goals and the importance of picking up consistent results.

It’s a full interview you can read in The Harrier this weekend, priced at £2.99 and exclusively available to download from Friday.

The issue also includes more from boss Russ Penn, a comprehensive guide to Blyth Spartans and plenty more.

Our first issue of the season against Chester, the whole set of last season’s match programmes and a range of 1980s/90s programmes are also available to purchase and/or view right now.
