HARRIERS will face an away draw to start their Buildbase FA Trophy campaign next week.
The Second Round proper draw has been made, and Russ Penn’s men have been drawn to meet either Kidsgrove Athletic or Stamford AFC.
Those two Northern Premier League South/East Division rivals meet in an outstanding First Round clash this coming Saturday (12th December) after an initial attempt at playing the game in midweek was scuppered by bad weather.
The winner of that clash will host Harriers on Tuesday, 15th December in the Second Round (7:45pm).
Both teams had started their league season – which has now been paused – in good form, sitting fourth and eighth respectively, and boasting solid home records, too.
There’s added incentive to win next week’s tie between Harriers and whichever team makes it through, as whoever goes on to win the Second Round match has already been given a bye in the Third Round, meaning progress straight to Round Four.
Before all that, of course, Harriers head to Gateshead this coming weekend in National League North.
