HARRIERS Women picked up their first league win of the season on Sunday, a storming second half helping them beat Tamworth 7-3.
Both Dani Selmes and Becky Hall rocketed in hat-tricks as Harriers powered away from the Lambs, a second-half gulf appearing after a competitive first half.
Harriers netted first through a Selmes penalty, before the home side equalised – also from 12 yards.
Selmes and Hall both notched again to put Harriers into a commanding lead, a deficit reduced as Olivia Woolston scored from close range for the Lambs.
The visitors were 3-2 up at the break and added a fourth through an own goal before Charlie Whitehouse goal made the score 5-2.
Tamworth’s third goal of the afternoon, through Ellen Martin, ended up being a mere consolation as both Selmes and Hall wrapped up hat-tricks to ensure there was nothing to stop Harriers securing a first three points of the season.
Harriers have a break from League action on the 26th, but are back in action on October 3rd with an FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie at Stourbridge.
