CLIFF MOYO made his Harriers return as the side picked up a useful and deserved point in a 0-0 draw at Spennymoor Town.

The powerhouse defender has been out of action since pre-season, but finally made his long-awaited comeback at Brewery Field.

It was a return that lasted just 45 minutes – Moyo was substituted as a precaution after feeling tightness in a hamstring – but it was enough to help the team on their way to an important point that ended a run of three straight defeats.

It wasn’t a night full of chances – in the first half Spennymoor’s best openings came through a Curtis header and a Taylor free kick, while Amari Morgan-Smith pulled a shot wide on the angle at the other end before the half-hour.

Harriers were brighter in the second half and went close when Austin’s shot needed a reactive save from the goalkeeper on 49 minutes, while Morgan-Smith and Hemmings both tired their luck just after the hour.

With seven left of normal time saw Sterling’s dangerous delivery reach Penny who fired off target – although not by much – ensuring Harriers can at least go into this weekend’s trip to Brackley with a clean sheet and a point under their belts.
