HARRIERS could hand a debut to new signing Matty Stenson when they welcome Curzon Ashton to Aggborough on Saturday.
Stenson signed on loan for the club ahead of the deadline for registrations in non-league, switching from FC Halifax until the end of the term.
After a tireless week of trying to land new recruits, Penn was happy to have got his man.
Describing the 28-year-old’s qualities, Penn explained: “He’s a strong, quick, powerful centre forward who will add to what we’ve got with Ethan and Amari.
“He’s just something we need in the building at the moment to cover all bases, and also push those two to levels we need.
“He’s playing in the league above, he’s fit and had a lot of interest. Fortunately for us, he’s decided to come to Kidderminster.”
Stenson’s arrival is a boost to the Reds, with Penn confirming he’ll be without the injured Geraldo Bajrami this weekend.
There remains uncertainty over Nathan Cameron and Cliff Moyo, too, as they both strive to make themselves available.
Joe Foulkes (ankle) will continue to be assessed after picking up a knock in the defeat to Brackley a week ago.
Next up it’s the Nash, and yet another rival still gunning for a strong finish and harbouring ambitions of a play-off place.
The gaffer is eager for Harriers to take the qualities and positives from Tuesday’s draw with Spennymoor into the weekend fixture.
He added: “It’ll be another good game and I’m looking forward to it.
“Yes, we want to win the game like we want to win every game, but we have got to match the levels of Tuesday, and if we can do that then we’ll have a good chance.
“Adam has steadied the ship there and what they are is very competitive.
“It’ll be a competitive game between two good teams who want to play football the right way also.”
Saturday is also Non League Day, with fans of top flight and EFL teams encouraged to turn out and support their local clubs.
What’s more, thanks to The National Lottery Football Weekends, Lottery players can claim free tickets to the match. Find out how.
Harriers and Curzon Ashton fans are reminded that there is no longer the facility to pay cash at the turnstiles at Aggborough.
You can still pay in person on the day of the game at the Ticket Office (including in cash), but this incurs a £2 increase on our standard match day prices, so your best bet is to purchase in advance of the day if you can – as this will also potentially save you some queueing!
You can do so online via our ticketing platform or, if you need assistance, by calling 01562 823 931 during opening hours.
Again, it is still possible to buy your tickets at the Ticket Office (up to 15 minutes after kick-off), but you can’t pay cash at the turnstile.
Saturday’s match day prorgamme is available to order now for delivery. It’ll also be on sale throughout the ground and in the Aggborough Club Shop.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 3:00pm
