HARRIERS have added defender Corey Panter to the squad at Aggborough for the remainder of this season.

The 21-year-old joins us on loan from Luton Town, where he has been playing his football and rising through the ranks since the age of nine.

He has previous loan experience in non-league with Biggleswade and spent time with Dundee earlier this season.

Panter had actually first signed for the Reds six weeks ago, but cruelly suffered a knee injury just minutes into his first training session just as the deal went through.

He re-joined the Hatters for treatment but is now able to take his place in the Harriers squad for the final run-in of National League North.

“You can’t really write it sometimes!” the player told our YouTube channel of his Harriers journey so far.

“I’d been waiting quite a long time to get a good loan move here, and in the first training session you get injured. It’s a bit unlucky, but that’s part and parcel of football.

“There’s still loads to get involved in and to be involved in a club like this, to push for the play-offs and hopefully get promoted… that’s all you can want really.”

We’d like to thank Luton for allowing Corey to join the club initially, and for their understanding and support over the last six weeks.

We look forward to having Corey as part of the squad as the climax of the season approaches!
