Kidderminster Harriers FC are proud to confirm that Manager Russ Penn and Assistant Manager Jimmy O’Connor have extended their contracts with the club.
Having agreed extensions at the start of this season, the aim for Russ and Jimmy was to help create and build something special here, and nobody can argue the results so far after an incredible season to-date.
With the FA Cup and the league season behind us and the play-offs up ahead, now is the time for us to ensure we can carry on building together for years to come.
Therefore, Russ and Jimmy have signed extensions to their contracts at Aggborough that keep them with the club until the summer of 2025.
Owner Richard Lane said: “Russ and Jimmy are our born leaders, they set the bar very high in effort, dedication and desire, this then sets the example for others with their incredible determination and drive to bring success to our football club.
“As a club we want to demonstrate our commitment to them both and to the whole project which we all feel is only just beginning.”
“With the fans behind us we’ve made some great progress and we only want that to continue.” Russ Penn
Manager Russ Penn said: “It has been a great season so far, but we aren’t finished yet, and it’s all about pushing on both in the play-offs and into the future.
“With the fans behind us we’ve made some great progress and we only want that to continue.”
Assistant Manager Jimmy O’Connor said: “We talked last year about how important stability and continuity are in football and our message is still the same in terms of how we all move forward together as a group.
“Whilst we have some great memories from this season – and hopefully some more to come – everyone at the club is focused on maintaining that, and this allows us to continue what we’ve been doing.”
We’d ask all Harriers fans to get behind their management team and players once again by joining us for the play-offs and creating another memorable Aggborough atmosphere against Boston United on Thursday.
