GOALKEEPER Tom Palmer has extended his stay with Harriers by signing a new contract.
As an Academy graduate, Palmer has been a professional with Harriers for a number of years and is a firm favourite with players, staff and fans alike.
Last season proved to be a pivotal one for the shot-stopper as he bagged more than 50 games out on loan with Rushall Olympic, helping the Pics into the end-of-season play-offs.
After that loan came to an end, Palmer returned to Aggborough and picked up a start in our 3-0 home win over Guiseley.
He’s now focused on making the number one jersey his own for 2022/23 in National League North.
“12 months ago we sat him down and gave him a two-year plan of going out and getting games [last] season, and he’s done that, playing 50 games in the league below.
“He’s done really well and grown up as a goalkeeper. I know what Palms is like as a person anyway, so there’s no doubt in mind in how he’s going to improve his mental status and physical attributes.
“It’s up to him now if he wants to knock on my door.”
Look out for an interview with Tom on our YouTube channel shortly.
