HARRIERS have bolstered their ranks with the signing of experienced and versatile player Joe Leesley from Boston United.
The 28-year-old has plenty of experience with almost 300 non-league games under his belt, notably a five-season spell as a winger with Harrogate Town where his 22 goals in 2017-18 helped push the team to promotion from National League North.
He’s also played for Alfreton and Stockport and joins us from Boston where he’s featured over the course of the last three seasons. As well as making 13 appearances for The Pilgrims this season, he’s also just finished an impressive loan spell at Darlington.
With that deal at an end, Harriers have moved to bring the Sheffield-born player, to Aggborough on a permanent contract until the end of the 2023-24 season, subject to FA confirmation.
Joe told our YouTube channel: “I spoke with Russ on the phone, and he didn’t need to sell the club to me, it’s a massive club.
“It’s full-time football and its ambitious. It wants to climb the ladder and it fits everything I want to do.”
