TEN-MAN Harriers suffered a 2-0 defeat at in-form Chester in National League North.
After an even first half, Harriers fell behind to an early goal in the second period, and were soon after down to ten men as Nat Knight-Percival received his second red card in as many games.
Harriers had good chances to level but, pushing forward, were finally beaten in the 89th minute when the hosts added a second.
Declan Weeks, the former Aggborough man, hit into the side netting with the first chance of the night on 11 minutes, with Harriers getting in on the action on 19 when Ethan Freemantle’s volley swirled high over the bar.
Chester’s Murray then forced Palmer into a save before Owen-Evans nudged an effort over from a Harriers corner.
The opening goal came on 52 minutes when a poor clearance allowed Weeks to tee up Adam Thomas who rifled home a finish, before Knight-Percival was shown red for an alleged altercation with goalkeeper Tyrer.
Harriers had their best chances around the hour when Lissimore saw a shot blocked on the line and Hemmings was denied by an excellent save, Tyrer palming away his looping header as it threatened to find the net.
Chester sealed their win in the 89th minute when a splitting pass from Weeks found Caton who took a touch before slotting the ball coolly beyond Palmer.
