KAI Lissimore has signed a new Harriers contract that keeps him at Aggborough Stadium until the end of next season.
The Academy graduate has enjoyed an excellent season so far in DY10 as his footballing journey continues.
Midfielder Lissimore spent time in our Junior and Academy ranks before inking a first professional contact prior to the start of last season.
He made three appearances in 2020-21, including a first start at Leamington in May, and was on the bench for our memorable FA Cup matches against Grimsby, Halifax and West Ham.
To help further his development, Kai spent a crucial spell out on loan at Bromsgrove earlier this season. There, he made five appearances for Sporting and making a big impression.
Come Christmas time, he was thrust into the mix for a first Harriers start of the campaign in the Boxing Day derby at Hereford as part of a late change to the line-up.
It’s fair to say that since then, he’s not looked back, nailing down his place in the side with 13 further starts, the most recent being Saturday’s draw against King’s Lynn Town.
His impressive progress as part of the squad, on and off the field, has been rewarded with a new contract that runs until the summer of 2024.
Congratulations, Kai!
Reaction from the player himself and boss Russ Penn will follow on harriers.co.uk and our YouTube channel.
